Camera Angle Practice

These are some pictures i had taken to practice some camera angles that can be used in my magazine. I tried many differernt shots and positions and tried many styles when taking the pictures.

Fig. 2

Fig. 1

(Fig.2) This is a low angle to show how the image expands outwards and make the stairs look very long and the way they are spread on the stairs creates diversity and perspective.

(Fig. 1) This photo is also taken at a low angle, but only has one person in it and taken at a diagnol. This focuses the image on the main person and the pose is emphasised more.

This image is taken so the main person is shifted to the left. this makes the background more apparent and the focus on the main person more appealing.
In the photo there is a group of 3 people and one is more foward to the other two focusing on the middle person. however beacause of the arms of the main person are spread out the focus then shifts to the facial expressions used from the two people at the back. This makes the picture look longer.
In this image the picture is focused in the middle however because it is taken lower instead of straight foward there is a focus on the clothes and posture.

Masthead Ideas

I had asked some students what masthead they had prefered from my ideas and which they thought was suitable for a rock magazine, with the age range from 14+.

This is the results:

It was close betweeen Supernova and Skream! But 2 more had preferred Skream!, so using theses results i have come to a conclusion on having Skream! as the magazines masthead.
The name Skream! relates to the way rock music screams out emotions to the audience and also refers to the fans screams in concerts.

Some designs I had come up with:

SKREAM!
SKREAM!SKREAM!  SKREAM!
The first two designs are related to the magazine Kerrang!, as the writing looks broken and worn out, this shows the freedom and expression of rock music and how people can scream as  load as they want.

The last two designs are linked to the Rock Sound magazine as it had a very simple masthead, so by using a simple font the word skream! stands out more and really hits the audience as they read it.

I then asked some students opinions again on the design of the masthead and which was more suitable.
